Cute Moments

I caught my boys reading these books, and I RAN for my camera. As soon as I walked in the room with the camera, Jackson came right for me. I had to sit him back down and show him some cookies in his book. He gave me about 10 more seconds; enough time to get this cute picture!

Christmas Morning

Christmas Eve

Kenny and I were really excited to stay home for Christmas Eve this year! I had a fun new cookbook from Mamie and I wanted to try some recipes from it. Here is our Table!

(We loved everything except for the Sabayon Sauce...it was so gross, I didn't eat but two bites.)

Tanner's Christmas countdown was finished and he even finally accepted the fact that Santa was going to come while he was asleep.

The kids opened their pajamas and we watched a movie. We put them down early and watched our own movie (a couple episodes of the office)!
I didn't get much sleep, because a little boy wet his bed in his new homemade Christmas jammies! Mommy had to get up at 3:30 to wash them and throw them in the drier! Plus I had to make our cinnamon rolls at 6:30, but it was all worth it.

Magic of Christmas- St. Nick!

I helped with our ward's float in our local light parade this year. At first, I only did it to help the girl was in charge, but by the end I actually had a pretty good time.

This is the first year Tanner didn't scream, but don't worry Jackson screamed enough for the both of them!

Tanner asked for... "a big tractor, the green kind."

(Just a side note...doesn't that Santa look bored out of his mind??)

Magic of Christmas- Lights

We did our annual trip to see the temple lights, and guess which crazy mother forgot her camera?! This was taken on Kenny's phone, not the best quality, but at least we took our picture.

We take a family picture in the same spot every Christmas, and I really look forward to this. I have named this spot Lover's Lane. We have to walk down this lane very slowly, so I can enjoy the stroll.

Jack was a real trooper in the COLD weather! Tanner...not so much. He whined almost the entire time. He did like the water and the Baby Jesus in the nativity scenes.

Magic of Christmas- Gingerbread Houses

Our neighbors came over for the second year in a row to make Gingerbread Houses. It is becomming a really fun tradition! Sadly, I didn't feel very well that night, but I think the kids still had a great time.

Tanner, Avery, Kaden, and Rhylee Jason (who Tanner has now named "Avery's Daddy") looks happy to be in this one!

Reindeer Christmas Craft

I stole this idea from a friend a few years ago. A foot tracing for the body. A couple handing tracing for the antlers. A pom-pom for the nose and you've got a Rudolf!

I have made one every year with Tanner and I keep them put up till Christmas.

He is very proud of his growing collection!

Rest??

I was trying to grab a couple moments of rest the other day (Kenny snuck a picture), but I don't know if that is a possible thing!

That is my face, is that pathetic or what??!

This is not the face of a resting woman,

this is the face of a mother is trying to keep a couple little rascles out of the Christmas tree! Maybe she could have gotten more rest if her husband wasn't playing with the camera!?!...now that's a thought!

Magic of Christmas- Cookies

Christmas just wasn't Christmas without an assortment of these sugar-sprinkled cookies when I was a kid. Everyone asks me where the frosting is, but at Christmas we leave it off!

Jackson loves anything truck, train, car, or tractor. If Daddy or Grandpa go out on the tractor, back-hoe or 4-wheeler without him, I will definitely hear about it.

O' Christmas Tree...

Is there any better place to enjoy life?!

On Thanksgiving Day, we went up in the mountains and found our perfect Christmas Tree!

Kenny and I have made this a tradition for three years in a row, and we even talked his parents into coming.

It was so much fun!!

There wasn't very much snow, but at least there was a little bit!
After much searching, Grandma found the best tree and Kenny cut her down.

Decorating the tree wasn't as much fun as I was envisioning!

We spent the entire time fighting Jackson, who just wanted to play with all the ornaments...especially the tractor ornament that Randi sent to Tanner last year!

There were many tears shed whenever an ornament went on the tree.

We probably should have put him to bed first!
