Happy Late Memorial Day!

 I hope everyone's was as delicious and filled with gratitude as ours was!

Last week we had some friends over, and the boys had a blast!

Things I learned...

I learned that Sydney LOVES to be read to. 

We were reading Charlotte's Web and she wouldn't let me stop!

 I learned that I shouldn't leave the treadmill down while I am in the shower, because the kids think it is a toy.  They were sliding down into a pile of blankets at the end.  Tanner and Carley tried to do it together and Tanner knocked Carley over...it wan't pretty.  There was some bad road-burn!  Poor girl!!

 I learned that my Jack might be growning up!  This entire week he was never the cause of ANY problems with other kids.  He and his cousin, Ryan, played wonderful all day with NO fights! 

 I also learned that everything tastes better when you eat it outside...

...but, I actually already knew that little secret!

Sometimes you just have to take off the protectors and let them loose!

Captured Moments

 Do you ever watch your kids and think,

 "I don't want to forget this!"?

When I have those thoughts, I run for my camera and start snapping away.

 Everyday they do something new.

 I just don't want to forget the little moments.

Tanner made his first peanut-butter and jelly sandwhich last week. 

He set the table and called Jackson in for lunch.  Jackson came running quick (as he is never one to miss a meal)!  He sat down and said, "Thank you Tanner.  Thank you for lunch."  It is quick memory that I don't want to forget.

Fishing

I took my little cub scouts fishing....

 I had some miniature and an oversized scout tag along.

 Tanner was so excited and was very worried that the weather might cancel our fun!

 We braved the cold and Kenny was very patient with our little ones.

 We didn't catch anything.

 A dad of a cub scout did, and he let Jack hadle the LITTLE fish.

 Jack kept dropping it, as it flopped for life.

 Jack tossed it back in, and I am sure that LITTLE fish was very happy.

In the end, Tanner decided it was too cold, and he and Jack watched a movie in the car while the cub scouts braved the elements.  Maybe next month...I hope Spring hits by June!

All good things...

...have a way of feeling like they will never end, but, inevitably, they do.  I am almost always nostalgic!

Preschool is over for this year, but we have had some great memories.  Here are some glimpses into our end of the year program and graduation.

It has been a great year, and I wouldn't trade the time that I have enjoyed with my two boys.

A new niece...

Kailey Dawn

Mom and big sister are looking fabulous!

Brittany (Kenny's little sis) had her second child, and what is it about babies that makes life seem so much sweeter?

 

Here is Dad (just a side note, the birthing process is entirely too easy on the male gender!) .

 We took Tessa to find some grub...I think she was grateful!

 Tanner was happy to get to see his new cousin. 

Before we left he told me, "Brittany and Kreg need to have a boy next time, two boys, I think."

 Notice the shoes...hmmm?!

 The kids quickly ran outside, giving me time to love the new little one.

TuMbLINg tUMBliNG...

 Tanner is 4.5 years old (this is his official half-way mark).

 He is making friends, and is finally okay with the idea of leaving Mom.

 This is, of course, bitter sweet.

 One day, I know he will become independent, and, though it breaks my heart, I am stilling enjoying being of part of each new triumph!

 This all-boy-tumbling class has been a huge step forward for him. 

I am proud of all he has accomplished.

 Tanner is not shy in front of the crowd and is VERY out-going around other kids.

 He is such a happy kid and is very loving.

 He is a momma's boy (which I LOVE).

 When I told him that I don't want him to grow-up so fast, he said...

" It's Ok Mom, when I marry a girl, we will still live with you."

 He probably won't be catching many girls with that attitude!

 But, I now have one more memory to add to the books, so maybe it won't be so hard when that day comes!

We had a fun night, although it got late and both boys were VERY tired!
