O' Christmas Tree...

Is there any better place to enjoy life?!

On Thanksgiving Day, we went up in the mountains and found our perfect Christmas Tree!

Kenny and I have made this a tradition for three years in a row, and we even talked his parents into coming.

It was so much fun!!

There wasn't very much snow, but at least there was a little bit!
After much searching, Grandma found the best tree and Kenny cut her down.

Decorating the tree wasn't as much fun as I was envisioning!

We spent the entire time fighting Jackson, who just wanted to play with all the ornaments...especially the tractor ornament that Randi sent to Tanner last year!

There were many tears shed whenever an ornament went on the tree.

We probably should have put him to bed first!

Amazing Tutorial!

Kenny's cousin, Kali, is an AMAZING seamstress!

I am seriously jealous anytime I see her stuff.

She made a nursing cover for me when Jack was born, which I really appreciated.

She recently created a Tutorial for Making Nursing Cover, so I tried it, and it was so easy. Seriously...the easiest tutorial I have ever followed.

I fell in love with this pink fabric from Joann's and since Kim is having a baby...she is my lucky winner!

I was supposed to buy kisses, not hugs. I guess these are zebra turkeys! Taking two strapping young boys into the grocery store isn't as easy as it sounds.

Kim has been helping with Hailey's play, The Wizard of Oz. We are so excited to go see it!

Aggie Friend Reunion 2010

My roomies from USU and I wanted to find a way to keep in touch, even though we are somewhat spread out! This was our 2nd annual friend reunion! The Briggs were in charge and they planned a super-fun day!

We met at Thanksgiving Point and went to the Dinosaur Museum!

Then we went to Carissa's school and ate pizza, then played in the gym! Is there anything better than good old fashion Dodge ball and Duck-Duck-Goose?

"Holy Gosh"

Tanner's, super thoughtful, Alabama Grandma sent him an elmo for his birthday.

He played with the Elmo for about 15 minutes, then he spent about 45 minutes in this catalog. This is what I heard him saying...

"Holy Gosh! Look at this Elmo! I can't believe this!"

So, where was Elmo while Tanner was telling me his Christmas wish list?...

Well, let's just say he might have been living out every toys worst nightmare!

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is an organization that deliver Chistmas Gifts to children that would otherwise not receive any. I found this through Somewhat Simple, a creative blog that I follow. The program is a Christian based organization and is super easy to become involved in.

1. Get a Shoe Box (wrap the box and lid seprately)
2. Fill it with gifts (small toys, school supplies, personal hygeine items...etc)
3. Enclose a note and/or picture if desired
4. Take it to a drop-off location (believe me, if there is a site near me, there is a site near you)

Operation Christmas Child

Get woking quick, the drop off dates are Nov 16-23!!

I decided to try it out with my Cub Scouts, since I needed a service project to complete their Citizenship Bolt Loop.

They loved it and were shocked that some kids did not receive gifts!...One scout was quick to remind me that Santa would give the kids gifts though :)

We are a small group, but we learned that even kids can be a hero to someone!

Happy Birthday Sydney!

When I was first getting to know Kenny, he told me that his oldest Sister had 2 kids and one in the oven!

That little bundle bakin' in the oven was SYDNEY!

It has been fun to watch little Sydney grow up.

She is now an energetic 4 year old!

5 Reasons We Love Sydney

1. I asked Tanner why he loves Sydney and he said, "Because she's my friend."
2. She is an adorable bundle of spunk and energy...right up Tanner ally!
3. She loves to help and take care of people!
4. She is an amazing ballerina (or hula) dancer. You should have seen her working that tu-tu yesterday!
5. She is all girl and yet all Tom-boy! This is one girly-girl that doesn't have any trouble fitting in with the boys (and that seems to be what we raise best here).
