Summer Fun '11

I love these fun pictures, but blogger totally put them in the wrong order...oh well!
Tanner and Hailey
 Quincy wants to play too!
 Go Riley!
 So Cute!
Jack, Tan, and Rustin eating snow cones..thanks Shar!
 Beach Babies
 Go Hailey!
Uhh, Tanner?
 Ok, there he goes!
Rock on, Syd!  I think she likes it!
Someone had to take care of Quincy while I took all these pictures!
Carley never would go, but she spent A LOT of time considering the possiblity.
Notice Sydney yelling "Go Carley go!" in the background!

 Still thinking...
 So Cute!
Jack did the army crawl down the slide...
 ...but, he finally made it!

 LOVE that face!
Hope everyone else is keeping cool!

My bug

I get into these sewing bugs, where I feel the need to create.
I found this shorts pattern online last Fall, and I knew that now was the time to create them.  I actually made a matching pair for Jackson and Tanner, but I thought both were too small.  After taking these pictures, I got rid of these and gave Jack Tanner's pair.
I still think these are cute, even if they are small!
Jack loved them and he LOVES having his picture taken.
I love his energy, most of the time!
 Isn't he darling?!

Melt my heart...

Yesterday we were at the park and Jackson walked up to a little boy, almost 2 yrs old, and said...

"Do you know who me is?"
The little boy just stared at him
"I am Jackson, Tanner's best friend!"

Is there anything a mom wants more than for her kids to be best friends?
It melted my heart!

Stubborn

All of us are probably stubborn about one thing or another.
I know that Kenny and I have our moments.
This boy has more than his fair share!
I have been careful to let him win as many battles as I can (that is not to say that we don't go the rounds-daily).  One the of the battles I have given up on is dressing him- except on Sunday morning.
I am having to learn to be less controling.
Yep, those pants are on backwards!

Logan

We had a great trip to Logan a couple weeks ago.
We loved getting to see Marianne and her boys (and to catch her in the act of keeping a BIG secret).
We also loved seeing and staying with the Pages!  Thanks!
A long time ago, I used to teach school, and the 7th graders from my first year graduated!
We went to attend their graduation.
Kenny and I took the boys up to the University to let me them see our old stomping grounds!
On Friday, the boys got to eat "Old Mc D's", then play at my friend LieghAnn's house while we attended the commencement.
She had a train table and took them to the park (oh, and her place overlooks the Logan Temple).
(by the way...only one of the people in this picture is a True Aggie...if you don't know, we will never tell!)
On Saturday, the Pages took us on a really long 4-wheeler ride through Clarkston...really interesting (but I forgot the camera...darn it).
We met Marianne in the park, and the boys got to play for a couple hours with her twin boys.
Saturday afternoon, we hiked all over campus.
Saturday evening we headed to Brigham City to play at a carnival with my old roomies.
Tanner was really sad to leave!
I think my evil plan to brainwash my kids is working.
They now think that Logan and Utah State is the most magical place on earth!
I mean, is there any Aggie who had not sled/rolled/iced blocked/ran/strolled down this hill?
Now my boys can say they have!

Kenny is currently on his 5-week break
After the stress of finals, it was nice to take a weekend and getaway.
It is especially nice to visit the place where we fell in love.

Those were some carefree days, and I am sure that is some of the pull that Logan has on my heart!
Also...these girls really are the best friends ever!
Loved seeing you guys!
Tanner has been effectively brainwashed, in case you were wondering.
