In the blink of an eye...

At first glance this looks like an ordinary paper towel roll.

If you look at the bigger picture you can see that it is actually evidence against two little boys!

I left the room for about two minutes, and that was more than enough time for these two to get into trouble!!

I actually had a lock on this cabinet, but the kids stripped it. The only cupboard that I don't want them into is the one they want the most!- Go Figure.

The FRUIT of our labors!

This is our garden, and though I have put many hours into it, it still doesn't look like much. The well trained eye can see that we have some potential though.

We have had very cool and wet weather, so our plants haven't grown too much. Today I noticed that there was a tomato growing. Yeah!!
Jackson loves to play in the garden! I just have to keep him from eating every rock he finds!
He is getting so big!
Occationally he will let go and stand on his own for a minute, but no steps yet!

Grandma Lindsay

Kenny's Grandma died about two months ago. She seemed like an amazing lady, though I never really got to know her.

Tanner loved going to see Grandma Great. Every time we drive by their house, he asks to see Grandpa and Grandma Great.

Grandma spent the last two year of her life in bed. We would visit occasionally while Lola Mom was taking care of her. These are some of our favorite memories of Tanner with his Grandma Great...

1. Using the syringe to feed her water and ensure.
   
2. Kissing her on the cheeks
   
3. Playing with her little siver bell.- At fourteen or fifteen months he actually hit her on the head with it!

We went to the cemetary (place were Grandma Great is sleeping to Tanner) to take pictures for Memorial Day.

Even though Tanner will not remember his Great Grandma, I hope that he can look back at the good life she lived! She will be missed.

Sunshine and Snowcones

I love Spring, Summer, and Fall! It is so fun when we can start going outside again. My boys have really enjoyed the outdoors lately, now that the spring wind has slown down.

Here are some fun pictures that I took of them playing this week.

I put Jackson on this, and he couldn't move anywhere, but he sure though it was great!

Who doesn't love to wear cowboy boots with your basketball shorts?

Tanner has to wear this outfit whenever he finds it, clean or dirty. These boots are about 5 sizes too big (more hand-me-downs), but Tanner still has to wear them as well.

When we came in, I introduced the boys to my favorite treat...Snowcones!

Thanks to Kenny's Mom and Dad for the snowcone maker for my birthday last fall!

Tanner loved them!

He even helped feed Jack-Jack so I could clean the kitchen- what a brother!

Jackson really liked them, but this was the face he made when Tanner put each bite in his mouth. I guess he didn't know what to think of the ice, but a spoon fun of sugar definitely helps the ice go down!

Tanner loves Grandpa. We live on the family farm, so Tanner gets to see Grandpa almost everyday when he comes to do chores. It is one of the highlights of Tanner's day.

Yesterday, Grandpa came into to take a "15 minute" nap (that is code name for 45 minutes), and Tanner wanted to lay with him. I didn't think he would stay there, but he did and actually fell asleep.

It was so cute I had to take a picture!

Prayer and Brothers

I have a really cute and fun experience! When we say prayers with Tanner, we try to prompt him with words like: Dear..., Thankful for..., Please bless... and so on. The other night Kenny says, "Thankful for..." and Tanner says, "Thankful for Lightning McQueen's eye, thankful his other eye." Kenny and I tried, but we couldn't contain ourselves. It was so funny!

Jack-Jack found a car in Tanner's room and started driving it around the house, I was so sad! He is getting so big!!

Well, I got one of them looking in each picture, but I couldn't get both of them at the same time.

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today we are wishing my mom a happy happy birthday!

She threatened my life if I exposed her true age. We will just say that I am 27 and tell you that I am her oldest (you can make a guess from there!)

This just might be one of our worst pictures, but it is one of very few with us and our mom.~five kids in five years (you might call her amazing or just slightly crazy!)

She flew to Utah and stayed for a week and a half to help me when Tanner was born (Nov 2006). I probably appreciated my mom here more than any other time in my life! She was a life saver!

The reason I waned to include these pictures is to make the point that my mom is the one person who has been there for the most important moments of my life! Thanks mom for making me a priority!

5 Reasons we love my Mom:
1. She helped us when Tanner was born and Kenny was finishing school!
2. She raised 5 kids practically by herself!
3. Every decision she made, while we were kids, had our best interest at heart.
4. She always gives the Grandkids too many sweets ( Tanner tells me he wants to see alabama-grandma for some more candy!)
5. No one has loved us kids more!
