Jackson turns 2

I have done a lot of posts with picture-overload lately, but they are for my sake, so just skip what you want!

When we got home from Denver, we had a little birthday party for Jack, with my mom and Autumn. We planned an Elmo theme, but I didn't get too crazy. I was still a little tired from the trip.

Mom got balloons, which are always a hit with kids!

She also got some little bouncy balls for the kids to play with, since Jack loves all types of balls!

Jackson has grown really attached to Grandmom, since she has been here. He is going to be super sad when she moves out!

Now that Jackson is two years old, and, more importantly, because he has crawled out of his crib everyday for the last week; we have converted his crib into a big-boy bed. So far, so good, but this is only day one.

Jackson is a tough little boy. If he had a motto, it would be Full, Speed Ahead! He loves his mom and adores his dad. He tries to do and say everything Tanner does or says. He can count to three and is finally starting to talk. He loves being outdoors, and is quite a natural with sports. He has a temper that still shocks me! He does little things that make me laugh, and big things that scare the heck out of me everyday! I feel so blessed to be his mom and have him in our family. He is such a good little boy, and it is so much fun to watch him grow up. We love you Jack-Jack!

Denver...Kenny's school is officially in session

Our trip to Denver was great, exhausting and action-packed. For example, Tanner now calls himself a "master-jedi" and he is super obsessed with spider-man (thanks Braxton).

Kenny was super overwhelmed with school at first, but he managed to keep up with the pace. The boys and I just played, played, played.

We stayed with Troy and Heather and they were beyond accommodating. I don't think we could have had better service at 5-star hotel...honest! Tanner is now telling everyone about his new friend Braxton.

Jackson had his birthday while we were out there and here are some shots of his party...

We also got to catch-up with the Spendloves. Charissa was one of my best friends in junior high. Her kids are the same age as mine and we had a really great time hanging out together.

Kenny and I were really excited to go home when he was done, but we couldn't have planned out a better time. Ok, I guess Kenny would have had a lot more fun without the school part :)

River Trip July 2010

We went on the Green River for the 4th of July this year with Kenny's family. It was so much fun. I was really nervous about taking the boys, but I am glad we did. We had so much fun!

The boys loved the rapids.

Tanner would yell, "Yehaw, ride'em Bullseye!"

Whenever we saw a rapid coming, Jackson would yell, "Uh-Oh."

They made me laugh. I think they are going to be river-runners like their Daddy.

Wild Man & Patient Brother

Jack can be so wild in the pool, that I have to use two floatation devices to keep him afloat! Going swimming with him is becoming super exhausting.

Tanner is just having a good time. I feel bad that he gets so little of my time while we go swimming, because Jack demands so much of it!

We have a sentence...

I though this picture was cute, but the real reason we are celebrating is that Jackson has finally said a sentence!

Jackson: I da know.

It may not seem like much to you, but to me, it was a long-awaited day.
