Hello Spring...

...BREAK!  

Kenny finished finals for the first two classes of this semester!

He has been busy this weekend but next week is SPRING BREAK (meaning, no masters, no prescool, no tumbling, no scouts, and some downtime!).

Brittany is back in town and we fed her pizza/science experiment!

The boys are still loving the mud and we are almost out of snow!

We had cousins over for an indoor camping trip!

The boys and I went to the park the other day and I am still LOVING to be outdoors!  It is nice to have warmer weather!

I am looking forward to a WONDERFUL week...be excited to see it soon!

Kool-Aid

Tanner liked the last super-hero pic so much, he keeps trying to re-create it.  I am posting this to indulge him!

Spring here means mud!  The boys have been so dirty that this is a normal color for our bath water.

Out-of-doors!

Simple things...

like riding a bike in an empty parking lot, and searching the mountains for fossils.

Getting the BIG trucks to honk at you, and taking a ride on the 4-wheeler.

Climbing a hill of snow, and seeing a new colt (named Stormy).

Spending time together!

Kenny finished all his homework by Thursday and he took Friday off of work.  We did nothing but hang-out around the farm.  It was a wonderful weekend and I was sad to see it end!

Sometimes life gets crazy and I feel like we are just running from one activity to another.

I still very much look forward to the weekend, even if they are hectic.  Kenny seldom does homework on Saturday, and never on Sunday.

We enjoy the time together, and Tanner has started counting down the days each week until it not a 'workday.'

I am grateful for Kenny's job and for the opportunity he has to go to school (though, I am secretly jealous sometimes that I can't go back to school).

I have also promised myself that I would not wish away these years.  I am determined to enjoy the time that I have with the boys.  We have done a great job at having many wonderful adventures in the last 8 months that Kenny has been in school.

This weekend, we were able to attend Marx's baptism, Sabrina's blessing, Ryan's 3rd birthday party, and, of course, our weekly wrestling match in church.  We had fun spending much time with Kenny and are ready to brave another week without him around too much!

Besides, you can do anything when you have super-heroes for children right!?

February Preschool Memories

This month, flash broke on my camera (it has since started working again- I know, time for a new camera!), so the pictures are not great, but they are still memories worth keeping!

 We had a really fun Valentine's Party, but we really missed Cody!

She is so smart, and I love that she is starting to put a lower-case 'e' on the end of her name without me reminding her!

 Jackson, who is finally tracing a line and can recognize 4 letters...yeah!

He still loves to hold the role of class clown.

 Tanner, I was wondering if he was learning anything, but he has really shocked me lately with what he has learn.  He is, of course, the reason I started this.  He loves pre-school, and he is learning...so, I guess I can say it has been worth it!

 Rustin, he is sweet, thoughtful, and pretty quiet.  We all love Rustin and, as the year has gone on, I have noticed that he catching on to things faster and faster!

Fog?

I was wondering why all the pictures I take lately are foggy, then I noticed some cute little fingerprints on my lens!

Love Day

Kenny and I went out to a movie and enjoyed some time without the boys on Saturday.  It was a good thing too, since vday didn't go quite as planned.

I got up early to make a special breakfast.  I stole a recipe from Kenny's cousin, Karen's Blog.

We loved it, though I think we will stick with maple syrup next time.

I tried to make everyone wait to eat until Tanner woke up, but he didn't get up until after 8 and I had to finally wake him.

 He was really excited when he saw his Love Day surprise, but he only ate one bite of food.

Believe it or not this really is Jackson trying to smile.

 By afternoon Tanner had a fever of 102ish and he just layed around watching movies.

I felt so bad for my sick little guy, but we had some fun resting time.

That night, he ate a little dinner and went to bed early.  He was a little better the next morning, but still had little appetite. 

Kenny had some equipment trouble at the dialysis center in the morning.  They finally got it all working but had to work with patients until late in the evening.  He didn't get home till about 11:30.  Even if Tanner had been feeling well our Love Day Game Night wouldn't have worked.

Kenny's schooling has been good for me to learn how to be more flexible, so when we have these days, I can go with the flow!

Even though my plans did not go as planned, I felt that there was love in our home and our vday was wonderful in a different way.
